FAQ
Order Updates
Due to recent changes to their systems, If you're using @gmail or @icloud, my emails may end up in your Junk/Spam folders or in the promotions inbox. Please whitelist my email to ensure further order update emails get through.
By default the system generates an order confirmation email, it just may not end up in your inbox depending on which email provider used.
Fabrication lead time
Because each piece is handmade to order (unless otherwise noted as ready to ship), please allow 3 - 4 weeks for most orders. Custom designs or more intricate pieces may take between 3 – 6 weeks. Keep in mind that lead times are calculated in business days, not calendar days.
You’ll find the estimated lead time listed on each product page. As a one-woman studio, I craft every piece myself—so allowing adequate time ensures I can give each order the care and attention it deserves.
Once your jewelry is ready and ships out, you’ll receive an email with tracking details directly from my website.
Engraving
Absolutely. Engraving is available for most bands 2.5mm and wider, allowing you to add a meaningful detail—such as initials, a date, or a short phrase.
You can include up to 30 characters (spaces included), and I offer a curated selection of fonts to suit your personal style.
If you'd like to include engraving, just go to the engraving listing when placing your order. If you’re unsure whether your band qualifies or have something specific in mind, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help.
To add engraving to your order, please visit the Engraving Add-On listing.
Materials
The metals I use are responsibly sourced from SCS-certified green suppliers, ensuring they meet strict environmental standards.
In addition to using eco-conscious materials, I also recycle my own studio scrap—melting down leftover metal to give it new life in future designs.
Yes, all of my jewelry is handmade. I’ve been creating jewelry since 2004 as a self-taught metalsmith, and I handle every aspect of my business on my own. Each piece is personally crafted by me—from design and fabrication to finishing—using skills I’ve developed over years of working with various materials and techniques.
Moissanite is a brilliant gemstone known for its exceptional durability and fire. Ranking 9.25 on the Mohs scale, it's harder than Sapphires and Rubies—second only to Diamonds in hardness.
Originally discovered in trace amounts in a meteorite, Moissanite is now expertly lab-created using silicon carbide. Each stone is hand-faceted by skilled gem cutters to maximize its natural sparkle and light performance, making it a stunning and lasting alternative to traditional gemstones.
Recycled, reclaimed, or refined metals are eco-conscious alternatives to newly mined materials. Unlike metals sourced through traditional mining—which can be incredibly destructive, requiring up to 20 tons of ore and producing 5 tons of toxic waste for a single gold ring—recycled metals are recovered from existing sources like industrial scrap, electronics, and previously worn jewelry.
These metals are refined back to their pure form, ensuring the same quality, appearance, and durability as newly mined metals—without the harmful environmental and human impact associated with cyanide, mercury, and other toxic byproducts of conventional mining.
No, I do not Rhodium plate my White Gold. As an eco-conscious jeweler, I prefer to honor the natural, warm-gray tone of 14k White Gold rather than mask it with plating.
What you often see in mass-produced jewelry is Rhodium-plated White Gold, which gives it a bright, silvery appearance—but that’s not the true color of the metal. Rhodium plating is a standard industry practice to meet commercial expectations, but it requires regular maintenance and eventually wears off.
If you do prefer the look of Rhodium plating, many local jewelers offer this service for a small fee.
Yes, I offer a variety of metal options for my cast pieces. You can choose from different colors and karats, including 14k and 18k Yellow, Rose, White, and Green Gold, as well as 14k or 18k Palladium White Gold. Each option offers its own unique character, allowing you to select the metal that best suits your style and preferences.
I’m not able to work with customer-supplied stones or metals due to liability concerns. To ensure the quality, integrity, and traceability of every piece, I exclusively use recycled metals from certified trade partners and source stones from trusted ethical suppliers. This allows me to maintain the standards and craftsmanship my work is known for.
I don’t offer my designs without stones, as each piece is created as part of my complete jewelry line. Selling unfinished or partial pieces would compromise the integrity of the work I create under my name. However, if you're looking for a specific stone not listed on my site, I’d be happy to discuss a custom order using stones from my trusted suppliers.
14k Gold Filled jewelry features a thick layer of solid 14k gold that’s mechanically bonded to a core of base metal, typically brass or silver. Unlike gold plating, this durable layer won’t flake or peel with normal wear and is safe for most people with sensitive skin. With proper care, gold-filled jewelry can maintain its beauty for 10 to 30 years, making it a long-lasting and more affordable alternative to solid gold.
The brushed finish is not permanent. Over time, natural contact with your skin and everyday surfaces will gradually polish the areas that experience the most wear. If you'd like to restore the original finish, most local jewelers can easily reapply it using a radial brush—or you're welcome to send the piece back to me, and I’ll be happy to refresh the finish for you.
Studio
My studio is a private, home-based workspace and isn’t open to the public, primarily for safety, privacy, and insurance reasons. As a one-woman business, I work independently and handle every step of the process myself—from design to fabrication—so maintaining a secure and focused environment is essential.
I also don’t keep a physical inventory of finished pieces. Each item is made to order, which not only helps reduce waste but also allows me to offer fair and consistent pricing without the overhead of mass production. If you have any questions or need guidance while shopping, I’m always happy to help through email.
At this time, my jewelry is exclusively available locally at Zaver & Mor in Berkeley, California. This beloved boutique was my very first wholesale partner back in 2006 when I was just starting out as a young jeweler, and I’m honored to continue that long-standing relationship today.
Outside of Zaver & Mor, I no longer sell through other wholesale accounts—choosing instead to focus on offering my full collection directly through my website. This allows me to maintain the highest level of craftsmanship, sustainability, and personal connection with each piece I create.
If you're in the Bay Area, I highly recommend visiting Zaver & Mor to experience a curated selection of my work in person.
Diamonds
Yes, the Diamonds I use are ethically sourced. I’m deeply committed to responsible sourcing and take great care in selecting stones from suppliers who align with my values. While some of my trusted partners—such as those who offer unique, natural rose cut Diamonds—may not be part of the Kimberley Process, they maintain a strong commitment to traceability, environmental care, and fair labor practices.
Ethical sourcing is not just a promise—it’s the foundation of my work. Each Diamond I choose reflects my dedication to transparency, sustainability, and respect for both people and the planet.
While my collection highlights a curated selection of shapes and cuts, many other options are available by request. This includes Moissanite, Lab Grown Diamonds, and a wide range of Gemstones. If you have a specific shape in mind, I’m happy to work with you on a custom order to bring your vision to life.
I offer a range of Diamond color and clarity grades to suit different preferences and budgets. You can view the available options and learn more about each grade by visiting the link below. This guide will help you choose the right stone for your piece with confidence.
> Diamond Chart
As an industry standard, Melee Diamonds (ranging from 0.0012 to 0.20 ct) do not come with certificates or grading reports.
For larger Diamonds (0.25 ct and above), certified stones are available upon request. These may include grading reports from reputable labs such as GIA, IGI, EGL, or AGS, and will be noted in the product listing when applicable.
Please note that Diamonds with grading reports typically come at a higher cost. If you’d like to include a certified Natural or Lab-Grown Diamond in your piece, feel free to contact me in advance. I’ll be happy to walk you through your options and create a custom listing tailored to your request.
Lab-Grown Diamonds are real Diamonds created in highly controlled laboratory environments using advanced technology that replicates the natural conditions in which Diamonds form in the earth.
There are two primary methods used:
- A Diamond seed is placed in a chamber and subjected to extreme heat (2,700–3,100°F) and pressure (around 725,000 PSI), mimicking the conditions of the Earth’s mantle.
- Thin Diamond wafers are placed in a reactor filled with Methane gas, which is then broken down by microwaves into carbon atoms. These atoms bond to the surface and build new Diamond layers over time.
Both methods yield high-quality, Type IIa Lab-Grown Diamonds—some of the purest and most sought-after types, even among natural Diamonds. These processes can also be adjusted to produce beautiful colored Diamonds.
Certified Lab-Grown Diamonds sized 0.25ct and up are available upon request and can be graded by GIA, GCAL or IGI. If you’re interested in a certified stone, please contact me for a quote and I’ll be happy to help you find the perfect option.
Yes! Most of my ring designs can be customized with a Lab-Grown Diamond. I currently offer a curated selection of Lab-Grown Diamond pieces on my site, and I'm always happy to work with you on a custom design if you're looking for something specific.
Financing
Yes, I offer financing through Klarna. You can split your purchase into manageable monthly payments—with 0% APR if paid in full within 6 or 12 months. Simply select Klarna at checkout to view your available payment options.
Shipping
Yes, I do! I’m proud to have customers all over the world. I offer international shipping to select countries with low fraud risk, using trusted carriers like DHL.
Please note: Import duties, taxes, and fees are not included in the product or shipping prices and may be charged by your local customs office upon delivery.
Customs and duty fees are taxes and charges imposed by your country when importing goods from abroad. These fees are determined by your local customs authority and are entirely separate from your purchase. U.S. sellers—including myself—have no control over these charges and do not receive any portion of them.
Please note: Import duties, taxes, and fees are not included in the item or shipping prices.
Before placing your order, it's a good idea to review your country’s import regulations.
Generally, customs fees may include:
- A tax based on the type and value of the item.
- A tax on goods and services imported into your country.
Both Duty and VAT are typically calculated as a percentage of the total value of the order, which may include the cost of the item, shipping, and insurance.
Domestic Shipping (U.S.):
All U.S. orders ship via FedEx or UPS, with Direct Signature Required on orders over $150. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 2–4 business days.
Please note: USPS shipments, when applicable, may take 3–10 business days. Shipping times may be affected by weather or other transit delays beyond my control.
International Shipping:
International orders are shipped via DHL or UPS with full insurance and signature confirmation for the value of the jewelry. Delivery generally takes up to 1 week, though customs processing may cause additional delays depending on your country’s procedures.
Import taxes, duties, and fees are not included in the purchase or shipping price. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer and may be due upon delivery.
Yes, I offer free domestic shipping within the U.S. on orders of $400 or more. Orders below that amount will include standard shipping rates at checkout.
Yes—all of my jewelry is thoughtfully packaged in an eco-friendly box or a black velvet pouch featuring my gold logo, making it perfect for gift giving.
For those looking to make the moment even more special, I also offer handcrafted, eco-friendly Walnut ring boxes—an elegant keepsake that's perfect for wedding photography or marking a meaningful occasion.
Resizing
Yes, I offer resizing for most rings, depending on the design and the type of stone. Some stones are too delicate to withstand the heat required for resizing, so I always recommend ordering the correct size whenever possible.
If resizing is needed, the fee is $75 for downsizing and typically between $120 and $175 for increasing the size, depending on how much adjustment and metal is required. Return shipping and insurance costs will also apply.
As part of the resizing service, I also include a complimentary cleaning and reapplication of the ring’s original finish, so your piece returns looking refreshed. To avoid resizing altogether, I recommend visiting a local jeweler to have your finger professionally measured before placing your order.
Jewelry Care
With the right care, your jewelry can stay looking beautiful for years to come. Here are some simple tips to help preserve its finish and integrity:
Avoid exposing your jewelry to chlorine or bleach—both are highly corrosive and can damage metals over time. Even brief exposure can cause discoloration or structural weakening. To clean your jewelry at home, gently use a soft cloth or an old toothbrush with a bit of baking soda or non-gel toothpaste.
Chemicals from everyday products, including cleaning agents, perfumes, and hair sprays, can lead to long-term damage like pitting or tarnish. To protect your jewelry, always remove it before showering, swimming, washing dishes, or applying lotions and creams, especially around porous stones or sensitive metals.
It’s also best to avoid wearing your jewelry during intense physical activities or sports, as impact or friction can scratch stones or metal surfaces.
Your skin’s pH levels can also play a role in how your jewelry reacts—some people may notice darkening or discoloration, which can be a sign of higher acidity in the skin. This is common and doesn’t reflect the quality of the piece.
To slow down oxidation during storage, keep your jewelry in a sealed plastic bag with a tarnish strip or in a tarnish-resistant pouch. Proper storage is key—tarnish can develop even on 14k gold if left exposed over time.
If you're ever unsure or notice something unusual, there are many helpful resources online—or feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to guide you in caring for your pieces.
I offer a 6-month warranty that covers the loss of small accent stones—specifically pavé stones ranging in size from 1mm to 2mm. This warranty does not cover general wear and tear, accidental damage, theft, or loss due to neglect. Please keep in mind that prongs securing center stones should be professionally checked at least every 6 months, as they can loosen over time with daily wear. Because of this, loss of a center stone is not included under the warranty.
If a pavé stone in the 1mm–2mm range falls out within the 6-month window, I will replace it at no charge. After that period, a small fee will apply for the cost of replacement stones.
If a center stone is chipped or lost due to accidental impact—such as hitting a hard surface—I can help you source a new stone. If the original was a one-of-a-kind piece, I’ll do my best to find a suitable match. Once a replacement is selected, I’ll reset it for you.
Shipping costs for repairs, both to and from my studio, are the responsibility of the customer. For international orders, please confirm with your local customs office that no duties or taxes will be applied to your return shipment. In some cases, it may be more affordable to purchase a replacement stone from me and have it set by a trusted local jeweler.
For added peace of mind, I highly recommend insuring your jewelry through a provider like Jewelers Mutual, or by adding it to your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy.
Prongs are delicate by nature and require mindful wear and regular maintenance to keep your stone secure. It’s recommended to have them inspected every 6 months to ensure they remain tight against the stone. A local jeweler can usually check and tighten prongs quickly—often while you wait.
Because prongs can catch on clothing or be damaged by impact, it’s best to remove your ring during activities that may put stress on the setting. This routine care is essential for protecting your stone and preventing accidental loss over time.
Yes, most types of Gold can develop tarnish over time—but this is completely normal. Pure 24k Gold does not tarnish, as it contains no other metals. However, 10k, 14k, and 18k Gold are alloyed with other metals such as silver or copper to increase their strength and durability. These alloyed metals are what can react with moisture, air, or chemicals, sometimes causing a light surface tarnish.
Tarnish may develop more quickly if your jewelry is worn in the shower, exposed to household cleaning agents, or comes into contact with skincare products. A bit of darkening near soldered joins is also common and not a cause for concern.
The good news is that tarnish is only surface-level and can easily be removed with a soft polishing cloth or a gentle jewelry cleaner. All of my pieces—aside from select 14k Gold Fill chains—are made from solid 10k, 14k or 18k Gold and are never plated.
Tarnishing is not a reflection of quality or authenticity—it’s simply how genuine gold alloys interact with their environment. With mindful wear and proper storage, your gold jewelry will remain beautiful for many years to come.
Returns Policy
If for any reason you're not fully satisfied with your ready-to-ship jewelry, I do accept returns on unused, unworn, and unaltered pieces—provided they are sent back in their original packaging. Please contact me within 5 days of receiving your order so I can authorize the return.
Return shipping, including postage and insurance, is the responsibility of the customer. I highly recommend insuring your return for its full value, as I’m not responsible for any lost or damaged packages in transit. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Once I receive the item in its original condition, I’ll issue a store credit within 5 days, which you can use toward any future purchase. Please note that returns sent without prior authorization cannot be accepted.
Because each custom piece is made just for you, all custom orders are considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. This includes designs featuring stones that are not part of my standard collection.
Final sale also applies to engraved pieces, sale items, and rings made with certified Diamonds from AGS, IGI, or GIA. I take great care in crafting each piece with intention, and I'm always here to help guide you through the design process to ensure you're confident in your choices before we begin.
Because each piece is made by hand just for you, I’m not able to accept returns on made-to-order items. As a one-person studio, I create every piece with care, using time and materials selected specifically for your order. I do not keep ready-made stock, which allows me to focus on crafting each piece individually.
I do my best to provide clear descriptions and accurate photos for every item, and I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have before you place your order.
In very rare cases, a return for store credit may be approved on a case-by-case basis. If this is the case, please contact me within 3 days of receiving your jewelry. Once approved, the item must be returned within 10 days, in its original packaging and in new, unworn condition. A store credit will be issued after inspection. A restocking fee of 15% may apply. If the piece shows signs of damage or wear, I won’t be able to issue a credit and the item will be returned to you. Returns are not accepted after 30 days.
If an order is refused and returned to me, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the store credit once the package is received.
Please also note that I’m unable to accept returns or exchanges for incorrect ring sizes chosen at checkout. To help avoid this, I strongly recommend getting professionally sized by a local jeweler. If resizing is needed after your piece has shipped, I do offer resizing for a fee (based on the cost of materials for upsizing). You may also choose to have your ring resized by a trusted local jeweler.
Thank you for understanding the care and effort that goes into each made-to-order piece.
If an international order is refused and returned due to unpaid customs or duties, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the store credit once the package is received and inspected. Please note that returned packages may take anywhere from 2 to 10 weeks to arrive back, depending on the original shipping method.
Once the item is returned in its original condition, a *store credit will be issued accordingly.
